Can you use OurTime in Australia?

Not as a local service. Here's why, and what to try instead.

Not really. OurTime is Match Group's dating site for people over 50 in the United States and the United Kingdom, and it has no Australian service; its apps aren't in the Australian App Store. If OurTime is what you had in mind, Single 60s is an Australian site for over 60s that's free to join.

Why searching for OurTime in Australia comes up empty

If you've heard about OurTime from a friend overseas or read about it in an American or British article, it's natural to look for it here. Search the Australian App Store, though, and neither the American nor the British OurTime app appears; the only result with that name is an unrelated app for couples. The Australian web address that sounds like it should belong to OurTime is a beachwear shop.

So it isn't you. As of October 2026, OurTime simply isn't set up as a service for Australia.

What OurTime is, if you've heard of it from overseas

OurTime began in the United States in May 2011 through People Media, a Match Group business, and arrived in the United Kingdom in June 2017, where it's run by Meetic. In both countries the age selector starts at 50. Match Group also owns Tinder, Hinge and Plenty of Fish, and Plenty of Fish is the one of those you can use here. For many people, OurTime's appeal is simple: a well-known name, aimed at older singles, with a big company behind it.

What to use in Australia instead

If you liked the idea of a dating site that starts at 50, two services have Australian pages and apps: SilverSingles and SeniorMatch. Both are now run by the same company, SuccessfulMatch, and both accept members from age 50.

If it was the Match Group name you trusted, Plenty of Fish is its Australian option, though it's open to every adult rather than older singles. eharmony has an Australian site with a senior dating section, and RSVP has been introducing Australian singles to each other since 1997 and is open to all ages.

What Single 60s gives someone who went looking for OurTime

Single 60s has been online in Australia since 2014 and is built for people over 60, so it's aimed a little older than OurTime. Members choose whether they're after friendship, romance or both, which suits anyone who isn't sure yet what they want.

A free account here is a working one. You can build a profile, browse, get daily match suggestions, and send a set number of messages every day, as well as reply to anyone on a paid plan. The biggest groups of members live in the three east-coast states, followed by WA and SA, with real communities in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

You don't need an app store either. The site runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer, and a shortcut on your home screen makes it feel like any other app. The ID check costs nothing, and members who prefer not to send a document can do a brief video call with a moderator instead.

When another site may suit you better

If you're in your fifties, the over-50s sites will show you more people your own age. If you'd like an app from the App Store, SilverSingles, SeniorMatch, eharmony and Plenty of Fish all have one in Australia. And if you live overseas for part of the year, the American or British OurTime may be worth a look while you're there. For a site where the over 60s are the whole point, try Single 60s.
