Where are the singles over 60 in Australia?
Our members are spread unevenly, and so is the age mix. In one state the women over 55 clearly outnumber the men of the same age; in another the two are dead level. Knowing that before you set up your profile saves a lot of guesswork about how wide to make your age range and your search area.
Every city page uses our own member records, read in October 2026, and shows them as shares. It also covers the Seniors Card rules for that state, which are not the same everywhere: the card starts at 60 in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, but at 65 in Western Australia and Queensland, where people aged 60 to 64 qualify only if they hold a Commonwealth concession card.

Read it one row at a time. In Queensland, 96% of the men on the site are 55 or older, 57% of the women are, women make up 50% of members over 55, and 58% of those over-55s have turned 65.
A few things stand out. In every state almost all of the men are past 55, while the women cover a wider spread of ages. Victoria is the one state where women over 55 clearly outnumber the men, by roughly three to two. Western Australia has the youngest women, with four in ten past 55. South Australia's over-55s are the youngest group of all: it is the only state where most of them are still under 65.
Living in Tasmania, Canberra or the bush?
Tasmania has a few dozen members, most of them over 55, which is enough to find someone but not yet enough for a page of its own. Buses and the Derwent ferries there are free for everyone until 30 June 2027, so a trip into Hobart or Launceston to meet someone costs nothing for now. The ACT, the Northern Territory and the regional towns each have a handful of members.
