Over 60s Dating Sites in Australia: Find the One That Suits You

Who each one suits, what's free and how members are checked. Facts checked October 2026.

For Australians over 60 the real choices are the over-50s sites SilverSingles and SeniorMatch, the big all-ages services eharmony and Plenty of Fish, and Single 60s, made for the over 60s. OurTime, often searched for, has no Australian service. The best fit depends on your age, what you want free, and whether you want romance, friendship or both.

Two things in that table surprise people. SilverSingles and SeniorMatch, which many readers assume are rivals, are now run by the same company, SuccessfulMatch. And the name OurTime, which Australians search for a great deal, belongs to a Match Group site for the American and British markets; its apps aren't in the Australian App Store.

Facts you can check

Every fact about another service comes from that company's own pages, its Australian App Store listing, or published reports of official decisions such as the Federal Court's ruling on eharmony. All of it was checked in October 2026. Where a fact comes from a company's American terms rather than its Australian pages, the table says so.

Each comparison also says when the other site may suit you better, because sometimes it will. If you're 52 and want a large over-50s pool, a site that starts at 50 makes sense. If you're 68, recently widowed and mainly want someone to talk to, a site built around your age group may feel more like home. Other services change their prices often, so check those on their own sites; ours are all on the pricing page, and what a free account includes is on the features page.

What Australians ask about senior dating sites

Which senior dating site is best in Australia?

It depends on your age and what you want. Over-50s sites such as SilverSingles and SeniorMatch suit people in their fifties who want a wide age range. eharmony suits people who like being matched by questionnaire, Plenty of Fish suits those happy to search a crowd of every age, and RSVP, Australian-owned and running since 1997, is open to all adults. Single 60s suits people over 60 who want friendship, romance or both and would like to send messages on a free account.

What about 60s Love?

We found no Australian 60s Love site in October 2026: its Australian web address does not load, and its main international address showed no readable information about the service. A UK version is run by Dating Lions GmbH in Austria, and its UK terms say it uses paid staff profiles, which it calls animators, that members cannot meet in person. As with any site, read the terms before you pay.

Is there a free dating site for over 60s in Australia?

Most sites are free to join, but what you can do for free varies. Single 60s gives free members a daily message allowance and lets them answer paying members. SeniorMatch lets free members reply but not start conversations, SilverSingles limits contact on its free level, and Plenty of Fish is free to message with paid extras.

Are SilverSingles and SeniorMatch the same company?

Yes. Both sites name SuccessfulMatch as their operator, both require members to be 50 or over, and both have Australian landing pages on their international sites.

Can I join more than one dating site?

Yes. Most dating sites are free to join, so trying two for a few weeks and keeping the one where the conversations feel right is a sensible way to choose.
